Why Superman Blushes
More Than Batman
Two reasons: (1) Training, and (2) Batman wears a mask and superman doesn’t. Before you quit reading and decide that I must be a loony teenager rather than a clinical psychologist, let me explain what I’m talking about.
This article is based on what philosophers call a “thought experiment.” Basically, a thought experiment is a mental exercise in which you use a story, analogy, or example to better understand a complex idea or situation. If you are a person who experiences excessive blushing or easy blushing, you’re not alone. Some of us have been studying this issue for years in an effort to bring relief to those who are not enjoying life as much as they could be due to this frustrating symptom of social anxiety. Those years of research, trial and error, and sweat and tears have not been in vain. This article will explain a critical understanding that we now have on the issue of excessive facial blushing (going red).
So let’s explore the answer I gave you regarding this question about who would blush more between Superman and Batman. The first reason is because Batman trains his mind and body in order to be a superhero (along with being super rich so he can create cool gadgets). Superman, on the other hand, came by his powers simply because of the nature of who he is (an alien from Krypton who gets this “funky high from a yellow sun.”) So here’s how the thought experiment goes: If both Superman and Batman had social anxiety, Batman would apply his typical mode of operation by attacking the problem with systematic mental training in which he exposed himself to progressively difficult encounters, while Superman would not know where to start the process of ending his blushing problem because he is used to everything coming naturally.
Are you getting the picture? Beating a blushing problem takes work and systematic effort. Neither of these two ingredients will be sufficient by themselves. You must have powerful motivation to face your fears (like batman did when he took his childhood fear of bats and turned it into his ally in fighting crime). Waiting for your anxiety to go away will not work. You need to turn and face your fears. That’s what the Social Anxiety Secrets system teaches you how to do with its unique blend of specific information paired with powerful personal motivation training. Essentially, it teaches you how to train like someone who’s life depends on succeeding in beating the blushing and social anxiety problem (because your life does depend on beating it in a way).
Now for the second reason why Batman would blush less than Superman. Batman wears a mask and Superman doesn’t. The fear of blushing and excessive blushing are fueled by your fear that others will notice your blushing. If you wear a mask, you don’t fear that others will see you blushing, so you tend not to blush. Is this permission to go out and buy one of those weird makeup sets that’s supposed to hide your blushing? No Way! That would trap you even more in a lifestyle of avoidance, secrecy, and fear. Don’t ever consider that horrible path. It consists of nothing more than bowing to The Joker to get his thugs to protect you (okay, maybe there is a little teenager left in me…but take this seriously).
There is nothing wrong with you. Blushing is a perfectly human, perfectly natural reaction in all kinds of social situations. It’s only the excessive fear of blushing that causes it to start happening at weird times and with excessive duration and intensity. Make a plan of action and go after a better life.
